We are getting all geared up for our Bric-a-Brac collection next week! Alot of people who are interested in volunteering will be meeting at Grand Parade on 4th July between 2-4pm. This will be really cool for me as I havent met anyone in person yet so its going to be really nice finally putting faces to names. We are looking for decent clothes, shoes, jewellery, cds, dvds everything really except for electrical products. So start clearing out those wardrobes!!
Our sponsorship cards have arrived! We are looking for people to run the Mini Marathon in Sept on our behalf so if you are interested please contact me on Kayleigh@animalcaresociety.ie and we will send you out a pack.
If anyone else is doing an event in their life that could be sponsored, please dont hesitate to contact us. We have a volunteer who is climbing Kilimanjaro (better him than me!) and is collecting sponsorship on our behalf. We graciously thank him for the efforts he is going to to help out the Animal Care Society.
So what else is new at the sanctuary? The usual goings on, cat sticking feet into printer and giving us error messages, Blarney our deaf cat has found his forever home. Stevie the blind cat is still looking for a home so if you think you can open your home to a very deserving cat please let us know. She is very sweet and trusted and deserves a loving home.
Cork was flooded but all our animals are safe and sound (the joys of being uphill!) Our thoughts are with the poor feral cats of Cork, we can only hope that they found shelter from the torrential downpour.
Short and sweet this week, next week ill have loads of news including the weirdest item donated to our charity shop. (my money is on my purple catsuit but i might be pleasantly surprised!)
